Job Description
DeepHealth is seeking a Senior Forward Deployment Engineer for its Diagnostic Suite (DxS). The job is remote and full-time. It is an individual contributor position with no direct reports. The person in this role takes charge of the technical blueprint for the whole suite at each assigned customer site, bringing PACS, viewing, reporting, integration and AI capabilities together into one clinical workflow.
The engineer reports to the Service Engineering Lead in Enterprise Intelligence and sits in the company's Forward Deployment Engineering group. That group aims to make sure clients adopt DeepHealth products properly. The engineer collaborates with technical delivery managers, product staff and service teams, passes proven methods to those delivery teams, and helps plan future product releases with them.
Day to day, the work is hands-on. The engineer runs technical discovery sessions, writes solution designs and configuration plans, leads go-lives and hypercare periods, and coordinates troubleshooting for issues that involve several components at once. Roughly 20 to 30 percent of working time goes to helping implementation teams fix cross-component problems alongside engineering. The role also owns the AI adoption plan for the suite: setting requirements and success measures, and supporting customers as AI-enabled workflows are released. Travel of up to 25 percent, mostly for discovery visits, launches and escalations, is part of the job.
Responsibilities
- Design the complete technical blueprint for each assigned customer's Diagnostic Suite deployment, unifying imaging storage, viewing, reports, interfaces and AI
- Run suite-wide discovery sessions with clients and their implementers, then author the blueprint and setup plan that guides rollout
- Guide the engineers who handle reporting, viewer and HL7 integration work, and personally manage OS and Core PACS setup
- Mentor implementation staff on suite-wide setup norms, and keep architecture references and deployment guides up to date
- Serve as the lead technical contact during launches, post-launch support and escalations that involve more than one product area
- Convert repeated client requests into standard processes and product requirements, and tell real product gaps apart from setup or training issues
- Set the AI adoption direction for the suite: define what it must do, the customer impact expected and how success is measured, then relay this to product and engineering
- Take ownership of cross-account engineering escalations: sort them, write up defects that can be reproduced, follow engineering progress, and keep customers informed until resolved
- Help keep assigned accounts reliable by watching service health dashboards, taking part in incident response, and pushing engineering on reliability work
Requirements
- Degree in computer science or biomedical engineering, health informatics or information systems, or a related discipline, or equivalent combined education and experience
- Eight-plus years working in clinical IT, medical imaging or hospital systems
- Five or more years in a client-facing technical position on enterprise imaging products, in roles such as solutions architect, technical advisor or lead implementer
- Strong command of DICOM and HL7 v2 messaging, including how the two interlock from order placement to finished report
- Hands-on setup of PACS and diagnostic viewers, plus experience hooking up radiology reporting tools such as PowerScribe
- Solid knowledge of how a radiology department operates, from RIS and worklists through reading, reporting and distributing results
- Practical use of cloud platforms such as GCP, AWS or Azure, including networking, storage and single sign-on
- Proven skill explaining technical trade-offs to clinicians, IT leaders and executives, including when an issue is escalated
- Microsoft Office experience
Qualifications
- CIIP, PARCA or ARRT certification in imaging informatics or clinical practice
- Hands-on work deploying or maintaining clinical AI applications in radiology
- Familiarity with medical device quality standards (FDA 21 CFR 820, ISO 13485, IEC 62304) and ITIL service practices
