Job Description
Freshworks wants an FP&A Manager who will act as a finance business partner for its worldwide Product and Engineering group. This individual contributor role suits a seasoned FP&A specialist who builds working relationships with business heads, grasps the forces behind their results, and converts numbers into advice that improves decisions. The person reports to a Senior Manager of FP&A. Strong planning fundamentals and partnering instincts matter more than prior engineering finance knowledge, since the operational and technical drivers can be learned on the job.
Duties include budgeting, forecasting and longer-range planning for the group's areas, tying headcount, investment and operating levers into the financial plan. The manager builds models and scenario studies for investment and resourcing choices, assesses performance and risks, and proposes actions. They help leaders weigh staffing and spending tradeoffs, produce reporting and dashboards, work with Accounting through month-end close and variance commentary, and look into cost pressures such as cloud infrastructure while finding ways to automate repetitive reporting.
Applicants should have at least five years in FP&A or an equivalent finance role, a history of serving as a business partner, expert-level Excel or Google Sheets skill, and communication that lets them question assumptions confidently.
