The Brand Ad Formats group within the organization creates awareness-driven advertisement solutions, interactive layouts, and user-generated content features designed to maximize brand reach and user interaction. The group is currently expanding its video advertisement offerings to establish the platform as an essential destination for video promotion.
Reddit is seeking a product-minded Frontend Engineer to join the Brand Ad Formats team on a full-time, remote basis. This position involves building web application ad patterns and functionalities to optimize performance, collaborating closely with design and product colleagues, and managing the complete software development lifecycle from conception to deployment.
Responsibilities
- Develop web application ad patterns and experiences that improve functionality and performance
- Partner with design, product, and engineering teams to build sophisticated features
- Participate in the complete software lifecycle encompassing design, coding, quality assurance, experimentation, analysis, and release
- Conduct code reviews and provide constructive feedback
Requirements
- Minimum of three years of professional web engineering background
- Proficiency in JavaScript and TypeScript
- Ability to build responsive, fault-tolerant, and data-intensive applications
- Knowledge of automated testing practices, observability, code quality standards, and design patterns
- Experience using generative AI tools to boost developer productivity
- Strong communication skills for collaborating across a remote setup and talking with technical and non-technical audiences
