Job Description
Zopa is hiring a Frontend Engineer for its Web Engineering group in London. The group builds the web products used to win new customers, serve existing ones and run internal tools. The job is full time and hybrid, with two to three office days each week in London.
The engineer will build and extend web applications for customers and staff using GraphQL, TypeScript, React and Next.js. Projects span several products and business units, and the engineer will work alongside Product, Design, Marketing and Backend colleagues to deliver interfaces that are easy to use, accessible and fast.
Work is not limited to new features. The engineer also improves shared components, common libraries and frontend engineering practice, and contributes to performance, reliability and accessibility by drawing on experiment results and customer input. Testing, code review, CI/CD and monitoring are part of the routine.
Candidates should have commercial experience with modern web applications and care about tidy, maintainable code. Experienced engineers on the team support colleagues who are taking on features for the first time, so the role suits someone who wants to build skills and take more responsibility over time.
