Job Description

This is a remote, full-time technical training position at SGS, a global leader in the testing, inspection and certification sector. The position helps create and run technical courses for staff in the medical device segment. The aim is to help those employees build the skills needed for sound conformity assessments as device regulations evolve.

Much of the work centers on training materials. The person helps prepare and maintain courses on medical devices and the EU MDR, IVDR, ISO 13485, and MDSAP standards. This includes turning raw training content into e-learning modules, working with subject matter experts so lessons meet their learning goals, and handling routine admin such as certificates, enrolments, and training records.

Other duties include supporting peer reviews and assessments, such as checking trainee technical file exercises. The person also helps schedule sessions like continuing professional development sessions, webinars, workshops, and calibration meetings, and tracks trainee progress and qualification status. Staying current on relevant regulations is expected so training remains compliant.

The posting asks for fluency in English and an ability to teach and mentor. Strong communication, teamwork, project management, and relationship-building skills are listed, along with comfort with both online and in-person training. Essential experience is in medical devices within the IVD or MD industry, and includes progressively training technical skills, ideally at multinational organizations. Desirable traits include working with little supervision and holding a bachelor-level education in engineering, science, or a research-based subject.

The company highlights a multinational setting, a flexible schedule with a hybrid or remote model, continuous learning through its university and campus, and a benefits platform. Applicants need valid work authorization for the country where they live, and CVs should be sent in English.
