Operating as a distributed company with a global remote workforce across more than 75 countries, Canonical builds open-source solutions for enterprise and technology markets.
This position suits an ambitious early-career professional aiming to develop their human resources expertise in a fast-paced environment. The role requires someone who can work autonomously, manage complex tasks independently, and interact professionally with staff at all organizational levels. Team members meet in person two to four times annually in international locations.
In this function, the professional will handle various human resources operations within the Asia-Pacific region, including onboarding, HRIS maintenance, payroll coordination, benefits administration, and global project ownership.
Responsibilities
- Respond to employee inquiries regarding employment terms, contracts, and new hire onboarding
- Maintain high accuracy within the human resources information system for all staff updates and new personnel
- Manage global initiatives spanning culture, training, and employee engagement
- Collaborate with executives, managers, and staff to execute people strategies
- Handle country-specific onboarding documentation, personnel files, and system setups
- Coordinate employee enrollment for benefits and interface with payroll to secure accurate monthly disbursements
- Perform audits on personnel files and systems to ensure ongoing accuracy and GDPR compliance
