Job Description
Juniper Square supplies software and back-office services to private markets general partners. By its own count the firm serves more than 2,300 GPs, administers over $300 billion, and hosts more than 700,000 limited partners. This Group Product Manager position is for Dex, a brand-new data warehouse built around AI for private markets, which the company hopes to carry from early concept to a shipping product.
Whoever takes this job sets the long-range vision and strategy for Dex and speaks for it as the lead product voice. The product is meant to convert scattered, paper-heavy private markets information into a tidy, dependable base. Its scope runs from pulling documents and data feeds out of many source platforms, through classifying and extracting fields, to matching records to a private markets data model, checking their accuracy, and passing them along to software, AI agents and staff.
Dex serves outside customers and the firm's own fund administration teams, so the manager must keep engineering, design, customer success, sales, administration and AI development working toward one plan. Frequent conversations with GP clients are expected, along with prototyping in AI tools before formal requirements are written and mentoring of other product managers.
The listing is flagged remote, though the posting favors in-person work in San Francisco and says strong candidates elsewhere in the US and Canada are welcome. Pay combines base salary, equity and benefits. The stated US base range is USD 230,000 to 300,000 a year, and the Canadian range is CAD 200,000 to 250,000.
Responsibilities
- Set the long-range direction for Dex, covering its outside product role and its internal role in fund administration.
- Carry Dex from concept to a working release, and sequence the roadmap so it can extend to new use cases and client types.
- Gather insight from GP clients and internal administrators, and use it to refine direction.
- Steer AI capabilities across the pipeline, including document intake, classification, mapping, reviewer checkpoints, search and analytics.
- Keep engineering, design, customer success, sales and AI teams on a shared plan.
- Help go-to-market and administration teams adopt new features and measure what they deliver.
- Coach other product managers and lift product quality across the company.
Requirements
- At least ten years in product roles at B2B or enterprise software companies, with many launches across the development cycle.
- A history of owning a complex product area from strategy through iteration, ideally starting from nothing.
- Background in warehouse design, data modeling, document ingestion, ETL or ELT pipelines, and data quality checks.
- Experience building agentic workflows or LLM-powered features that were evaluated and monitored in production.
- Working fluency with LLMs and AI tools such as Claude and Cursor, enough to build prototypes independently.
- Clear written and spoken communication for engineers, executives and customers alike.
Qualifications
- Demonstrated skill at leading without formal authority; mentoring or managing product managers is a plus.
