Job Description
Freshworks is bringing AI into its go-to-market operation, and this GTM Engineer will work within the Web and Revenue Marketing group. The person designs the agents, automations and intelligence layers that help frontline revenue staff perform better. The best fit is someone who builds things personally, understands how revenue teams operate day to day, and turns those challenges into AI-supported systems. The role is hybrid, with three onsite days each week (Tuesday to Thursday) at the San Mateo, California headquarters.
Buyer intelligence currently lives in Salesforce, Marketo, Outreach, product telemetry and intent tools. The engineer merges these streams, adds context, and builds processes that tell teams who to contact, why, when and how. Concrete work includes building agents for lead handling, account research, routing, ranking, tailored messaging, seller briefings plus next-step outreach; wiring together CRM, enrichment and AI services; building internal tools with LLMs, APIs and webhooks; prototyping fast, measuring outcomes and iterating; and adding validation, guardrails, human review and monitoring so tested prototypes can run in production. The role works alongside sellers, SDRs and BDRs, marketing operations, sales operations, RevOps and demand generation.
Traditional software engineering training is not required, though hands-on building experience is. Candidates should have worked in RevOps, sales operations, GTM systems or a similar function, understand B2B revenue processes, and have built AI or LLM flows with tools like Claude, OpenAI, n8n or Workato. SQL, Python, JavaScript or data warehouse skills are helpful. The posted base salary is $202,000 to $250,000, with target bonus eligibility.
Responsibilities
- Build agents and automations covering lead handling, account research, routing, scoring and follow-up
- Merge buyer signals from web activity, intent, product usage and CRM history to identify high-value accounts
- Build integrations and workflows linking the CRM, Clay, Marketo, engagement software and AI tools
- Create internal tools using LLMs, APIs, webhooks and scripting to speed up sellers
- Work with the sellers, SDR and BDR staff, marketing operations, sales operations, RevOps and demand generation teams to remove workflow friction
- Build prototypes, put them in users' hands, measure results and iterate
- Add validation, guardrails, human review, monitoring and error handling to move prototypes to production
Requirements
- Experience in RevOps, sales ops, GTM operations or systems, revenue tech, marketing ops or a comparable GTM role
- Working grasp of B2B revenue processes: lead handling, routing, enrichment, qualifying and building pipeline
- Someone who has personally assembled workflow automations, system connections, internal apps or data pipelines
- Familiarity with GTM tools like Salesforce, Marketo, Clay, Outreach, Salesloft or HubSpot
- Hands-on experience building AI or LLM-powered workflows or agents with tools such as Claude, OpenAI, Relevance, MCP, n8n or Workato
- Comfortable handling APIs, webhooks, data links, automation suites or scripts
Qualifications
- Nice to have: working knowledge of SQL, Python, JavaScript or warehouse tools
- Nice to have: prior work on account intelligence, enrichment, ranking, routing or signal-driven GTM flows
- Nice to have: history of moving an AI or automation flow from trial build to live use and uptake
