The role covers circuit and component design, reliability and ISO 26262 safety analysis, EMC and design for manufacturing, verification planning and mentoring engineers. Bosch is seeking a hardware technical specialist in Bengaluru to act as technical authority for automotive powertrain electronics, including inverters, battery management systems, ECUs, DC-DC converters and SiC or IGBT power stages. The role covers circuit and component design, reliability and ISO 26262 safety analysis, EMC and design for manufacturing, verification planning and mentoring engineers. It is a full-time, on-site job.
Responsibilities
- Define schematics, circuit topologies, component selection and SPICE simulations for high and low voltage systems
- Lead worst-case analysis, DFMEA, thermal design and ISO 26262 FMEDA work
- Define V and V test plans and lead 8D root-cause analysis
- Author design guidelines and mentor engineering teams
Requirements
- 8+ years of automotive hardware or powertrain design expertise
- Experience with EMC and ESD compliance to CISPR 25
- Design for manufacturing and testing (DFM and DFT) experience
Qualifications
- B.Tech or M.Tech in electrical engineering
