In this leadership role, the successful candidate will define the analytics roadmap, collaborate with executives on business strategy, and manage a team of eight managers and analysts. This position involves driving commercial outcomes through data, establishing stakeholder relationships, and overseeing data governance, risk management, and the integration of artificial intelligence within analytics. Responsibilities
- Establish the analytics strategy and roadmap aligned with company objectives
- Partner with the executive team and senior leaders to address complex business challenges using data
- Represent the data function on the executive team by providing strategic advice and insights
- Deliver proactive insights to stakeholders to shape decision-making processes
- Lead analytics teams supporting various functional areas across the business
- Collaborate with product leaders to integrate analytics into squad planning and development
- Drive and oversee initiatives that increase revenue or decrease costs while measuring outcomes
- Oversee the creation of dashboards, models, and tools utilized across the organization
- Prioritize competing requests, manage stakeholder expectations regarding timelines, and resolve workflow blockages
- Research and implement best practices across the data platform
- Guide the application of AI for accelerated data analysis and automated reporting within governance frameworks
- Coach team members through weekly one-on-ones, constructive feedback, and performance discussions
- Mentor individuals across the broader data function and share knowledge
Requirements
- Minimum of eight years of experience leveraging data to inform strategic choices
- At least three years of experience leading analytics teams
- Demonstrated track record of analysis that influenced executive choices and yielded measurable revenue or cost outcomes
- Demonstrated ability to interact with executives and resolve competing priorities independently
- Capacity to translate complex analytical findings into simplified terms for non-technical audiences
- Strong judgment concerning data governance, privacy, and risk management
- Hands-on experience applying AI within analytics work alongside proper governance understanding
- Proficiency in SQL and Tableau or comparable tools to review and guide team outputs
