Job Description
Mable is recruiting an IT Helpdesk and Support specialist. Mable is an Australian healthtech platform that links independent support workers with people who need care. The role supports staff at Mable and at its sister brand HomeMade, and is hybrid, with support delivered in person or remotely.
The position combines first- and second-level support with work to prevent issues and automate routine requests. Day to day, the specialist owns each request end to end, troubleshoots, and passes issues on to other teams or outside vendors when required. The role involves administering Zoom, Slack, JumpCloud, Atlassian and Google Workspace, supporting the Zoom Contact Center, and keeping access and asset records accurate for periodic reviews.
A key part of the job is reducing future incidents. This includes keeping laptops current and secure through endpoint management, taking part in root-cause analysis, drafting help-centre articles so staff can fix common problems themselves, and spotting trends that call for permanent fixes.
The specialist also manages the identity and access lifecycle, covering onboarding and offboarding as well as access changes, and helps build automated workflows for these tasks. Using AI assistants for faster troubleshooting, write-ups and scripts is expected, freeing capacity for planned projects.
Responsibilities
- Own support requests end to end, whether in person or remote.
- Administer core platforms including Zoom, Slack, JumpCloud, Atlassian and Google Workspace.
- Support Zoom Contact Center setup, including user setup and basic queue changes.
- Keep devices patched through management tooling and take part in root-cause analysis.
- Draft help-centre articles and self-help content for staff.
- Build and maintain automated workflows for onboarding, offboarding and access changes.
- Manage the IT asset lifecycle and automate software deployment.
Requirements
- Two to three years in IT support or on a service desk, handling Level 1 and Level 2 work.
- Practical admin of a cloud identity platform, such as Google Workspace or Microsoft 365 with Entra ID, covering groups, MFA and SSO.
- Managing endpoints and mobile devices with tools like JumpCloud, Intune or Jamf across macOS and Windows.
- Experience with an ITSM tool such as Jira Service Management, ServiceNow or Freshservice, using ITIL-aligned practices.
- Solid fault-finding on laptops, peripherals, SaaS apps and basic networking.
- A clear aptitude for automation, with an example of something streamlined or automated.
- Practical use of AI tools, and clear writing for both technical and non-technical users.
- A customer-service mindset and a sound grasp of security basics such as least privilege and phishing awareness.
Qualifications
- Google Workspace or JumpCloud administration experience.
- Atlassian administration experience, including Jira Service Management and Confluence.
- Experience with Zoom Phone or Zoom Contact Center, or with other cloud phone platforms.
- A Certificate III or IV in IT, a degree, or vendor credentials like ITIL 4 Foundation or CompTIA A+.
Core Skills
Benefits
- Parental leave covering 14 weeks for main carers, plus 6 weeks for secondary carers, along with superannuation.
- An additional paid day off each quarter, plus a floating public holiday.
