Job Description
This is a full-time, hybrid leadership role based in London with Deliveroo, which is now part of DoorDash. The position sits in the Central Integrated Marketing group, inside the Merchant and Ads team that defines the worldwide approach to working with restaurant merchants. The post reports to the Merchant and Ads Integrated Marketing Director and requires working from the London headquarters three days a week.
The job owns restaurant merchant marketing and advertising strategy from start to finish. It includes deciding how category-wide ads are priced and packaged, with input from Finance, and keeping the restaurant playbook for co-marketing, promotions and ads current. It also extends into change work that affects local and functional marketing groups, plus building the restaurant sell-in approach, pitch frameworks and case studies that commercial and local teams use.
The person supports local marketers on major enterprise merchant accounts, handles priority restaurant initiatives, and acts as the top escalation contact for serious merchant problems across markets. They also work as the lead marketing partner to merchant strategy and commercial colleagues.
The ideal candidate has at least seven years in marketing, ideally with merchant or advertising work in a consumer or marketplace company, and has owned the marketing strategy for a category or a whole team. Experience managing people and other managers is expected, along with strong commercial judgement, the ability to present to large audiences, skill in cross-functional partnerships, and a record of leading change. Written and verbal communication must be clear enough to turn varied inputs into one coherent plan.
Reporting performance to senior stakeholders and steering corrections when results slip is part of the job. The posting describes the chance to shape how Deliveroo approaches partnerships with some of the best-known restaurant brands.

- Partner with merchant strategy and commercial colleagues to turn restaurant priorities into marketing and ads plans
- Speak for restaurants in cross-functional forums and help shape the roadmap for merchant and ads surfaces

Requirements
- Seven or more years in marketing, with merchant marketing, advertising or category work in a marketplace or consumer business preferred
- History of running the marketing plan for a full team or product category and untangling delivery issues that cut across several groups
- Hands-on experience leading people, including managers who report to you as the team expands
- Sharp commercial thinking that relies on business and financial figures when the path is unclear
- Comfortable presenting complex ideas to large rooms and adapting style for directors and department heads
