SGS is hiring a Health, Safety and Supply Chain Coordinator for a full-time position located in Davao. This professional position supports environmental, health, and safety initiatives while managing supply chain functions such as procurement, inventory oversight, and vendor relations. The successful candidate helps sustain regulatory compliance, internal policies, and management frameworks while guaranteeing that laboratory and daily operations proceed without interruption through proper resource planning.
This role suits professionals with a background in supply chain or occupational health and safety who can coordinate across departments including finance, operations, quality assurance, and procurement. The individual will handle stock optimization, demand planning, hazard identification, and workplace safety inspections within industrial or laboratory environments.
Responsibilities
- Assist with the execution of health, safety, and environmental initiatives
- Oversee procurement, inventory control, and vendor relations
- Support continuous supply chain and operational workflows
- Ensure adherence to corporate guidelines, regulatory mandates, and management frameworks
- Facilitate resource planning to keep laboratory and operational tasks running smoothly
- Conduct workplace safety inspections, hazard evaluations, and incident inquiries
- Collaborate across departments with operations, finance, quality assurance, and procurement teams
Requirements
- Hold a bachelor degree in engineering, industrial engineering, environmental science, occupational safety and health, supply chain management, business administration, chemistry, or a related discipline
- Bring one to three years of background in HSE, procurement, supply chain, inventory oversight, or related duties
- Demonstrate practical capability in inventory planning, demand forecasting, stock optimization, working capital management, and vendor coordination
- Show working familiarity with HSE standards in industrial or laboratory settings, including workplace safety, waste management, and chemical handling
- Possess solid analytical, problem-solving, and organizational capabilities
- Demonstrate proficiency in MS Office and basic data analysis instruments
- Communicate fluently in written and spoken English and Filipino
Qualifications
- Background working in service, industrial, or laboratory environments
- Hold training or credentials connected to ISO 14001, ISO 45001, or comparable HSE systems
- Demonstrated ability to guide and coach colleagues without direct supervisory authority
