Dinson Steel seeks a Human Resources Manager to direct and supervise the human resources department in Zimbabwe. This position suits an experienced human resources professional with a background in heavy industry, steel manufacturing, or mining. The person in this role will guide leadership on human resources strategy, handle labor relations, manage recruitment, and oversee workforce planning while ensuring adherence to local employment laws.
Responsibilities
- Design, roll out, and update human resources strategies, procedures, and policies
- Direct daily operations of the human resources department
- Advise senior leadership on strategic human resources matters and workforce planning
- Manage hiring processes from job postings and candidate interviews to onboarding
- Handle workplace disputes, disciplinary actions, and employee relations
- Ensure adherence to Zimbabwean employment regulations and labor legislation
- Create and execute employee performance management systems
- Identify training needs and coordinate professional and technical development programs
- Oversee salary administration, benefits coordination, and payroll-related information
- Collaborate with safety teams to support occupational health and workplace welfare
Requirements
- Minimum of five years of relevant human resources management experience
- Familiarity with heavy industry, steel manufacturing, or mining sectors
- Deep understanding of Zimbabwean employment regulations and labor laws
- Demonstrated background in workforce planning, recruitment, performance management, and employee relations
- Proficiency with computers and human resources management software
- Strong communication, negotiation, and conflict resolution capabilities
Qualifications
- Master's Degree in Business Administration, Human Resources Management, or a related field
- Professional membership in a recognized human resources organization such as the Institute of People Management of Zimbabwe
