Bosch is hiring a Senior Engineer in Product Development for the PS-CC division in Bengaluru. This full-time, on-site role involves carrying out product development tasks according to established guidelines to ensure successful product releases. The position is suitable for engineering professionals with a background in the automotive sector who possess strong teamwork capabilities, flexibility, and a customer-centric focus. Selected candidates will participate in customer alignment meetings, record design experiences, support cross-functional teams with localization and cost-reduction initiatives, and contribute to innovation management by drafting invention reports and patents. Additionally, the role requires escalating design risks or workload concerns to team coaches and enhancing professional competencies through networking with internal and external experts.
Responsibilities
- Execute product development tasks following established guidelines to achieve product releases
- Engage in customer discussions during alignment meetings
- Record and document design experiences
- Provide engineering assistance for localization, benchmarking, and series topics
- Coordinate across multiple functions to resolve topics, solve problems, and reduce costs
- Contribute to innovation management by implementing new topics and filing invention reports and patents
- Inform team coaches about workload prioritization, design risks, issues, and process deviations
- Participate in discussions with experts and competency centers within and outside Bosch
Requirements
- Minimum of two years of experience in product development
- Advanced knowledge of the RB product development process and BES process
- Advanced understanding of standards, norms, design, materials, reliability, system, and vehicle knowledge
- Advanced customer and project-centric approach with negotiation and mentoring abilities
- Result-oriented mindset with basic creativity and analytical skills
- Agile and flexible working style with high customer orientation and teamwork capabilities
Qualifications
- Bachelor of Engineering degree in Mechanical, Industrial, Electrical, or Automobile engineering
- Master's degree in engineering
- Prior work experience in the automotive industry
