Zoox is building a ground-up, fully autonomous vehicle fleet and mobility-as-a-service ecosystem for urban environments, combining robotics, machine learning, and design. The company is seeking an Information Security Manager to take ownership of and scale the enterprise Identity and Access Management program. This full-time, hybrid position involves leading a team of engineers and analysts while guiding both the strategic vision and technical execution of identity governance, authentication architecture, and privileged access management.
This role suits an experienced cybersecurity leader who can balance user access needs with a zero-trust security posture and strict compliance obligations. The chosen professional will drive the enterprise identity roadmap, direct lifecycle management processes, and act as an escalation point for credential-related security incidents.
Responsibilities
- Define and execute the enterprise identity roadmap aligned with zero-trust principles
- Establish and enforce identity policies regarding role-based access, least privilege, and separation of duties
- Lead, mentor, and build a team of IAM engineers, system integrators, and security analysts
- Oversee joiner, mover, and leaver workflows to automate provisioning across cloud and on-premises platforms
- Manage authentication standards including single sign-on, multi-factor authentication, and passwordless technology
- Implement and maintain enterprise privileged access management solutions for administrative credentials and session monitoring
- Direct user access reviews, entitlement certification campaigns, and automated access workflows
- Serve as the primary IAM lead for internal and external compliance audits
- Handle identity-focused security incidents and credential compromise investigations
- Evaluate and manage third-party software vendors and professional services partners
Requirements
- Minimum of 8 years of total experience in IT and cybersecurity
- At least 3 years of leadership or management experience focused specifically on identity and access management
- Practical experience with directory and identity providers such as Microsoft Entra ID, Okta, Ping Identity, or Active Directory
- Familiarity with identity governance and administration platforms like SailPoint, Saviynt, or Microsoft Entra ID Governance
- Experience with privileged access management solutions including CyberArk, BeyondTrust, Delinea, or HashiCorp Vault
- Deep comprehension of OAuth 2.0, SAML, OIDC, SCIM, Kerberos, and LDAP protocols
- Strong familiarity with regulatory compliance frameworks
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Cybersecurity, Information Technology, or equivalent practical experience
Qualifications
- CISSP, CISM, or CISA certification
- Vendor-specific credentials such as Okta Certified Professional, Microsoft Certified Identity and Access Administrator Associate, or SailPoint Certified
- Hands-on experience managing identity across AWS, Azure, or GCP cloud platforms
- Proficiency in scripting and automation using PowerShell, Python, or REST APIs
