Job Description
Cloudflare is hiring an early-career Infrastructure Business Operations Associate to work with its Infrastructure Strategy organization. The role is full time and sits in the Strategy Data and Analytics team, which handles budgeting, strategy, investment planning and cost management for Cloudflare's infrastructure.
The associate converts murky infrastructure problems into straightforward analyses, advice and processes that can be repeated. Work covers forecasting capacity needs, tracking budgets, buying equipment, rolling out hardware, modeling deal margins and controlling costs.
A typical assignment might involve building scenario models that compare unit economics and trade-offs, or reviewing pricing and contribution margin for a deal. The associate also follows large investments from sign-off through production and billing, flagging gaps and risks so decisions stay on track.
Teamwork is a major part of the role. The associate works with finance staff, supply planners, engineers, buyers and operations groups to align data, settle questions of ownership and keep projects moving. Repeatable workflows are also a focus, built with spreadsheets, SQL queries, AI assistants and simple scripts, with trusted data and controls kept in view.
The posting says candidates need not already be infrastructure experts. Curiosity, judgment, attention to detail and quick learning are emphasized, and the company describes its work culture as built on iteration and shared improvements.

- Turn vague stakeholder questions into structured work plans and decision-ready recommendations
- Draft brief executive documents and review summaries that cover the change, its significance and the call leaders must make
- Work with finance, supply planning, engineering, buyers and operations to reconcile numbers and clarify who owns each task
- Improve recurring processes with spreadsheets, SQL queries, AI assistants and light automation while keeping data and controls reliable
Requirements
- About two to four years in a quantitative role, such as consulting, operations, finance, analytics or supply chain

- Clear writing and speaking, including turning analysis into short material for executives
- Strong project management habits and persistence in following issues across teams and systems
- Genuine interest in network hardware, capacity and economics
- Practical use of AI and automation, with outputs checked and judgment kept
