Job Description
Instacart operates a grocery delivery and pickup platform that connects consumers with local stores while offering earning opportunities for personal shoppers. The company is currently expanding its commercial operations within Instacart Business and Instacart Health, driving a high demand for reliable, high-quality data.
As an Insights Lead, you will serve as the primary analytical partner for internal leadership and take charge of external partner reporting from start to finish. This role sits directly at the intersection of business strategy, commercial execution, and data analytics. Your core mission is to transform raw figures into actionable decisions by building reporting systems, analytical frameworks, and automated metrics tracking.
Over your first year, you will develop trusted dashboards for go-to-market leaders, establish consistent external reporting programs, conduct deep-dive performance analyses, and automate recurring metrics regarding pipeline health, retention, and cohorts. This position suits an operator who can transition fluidly from technical database queries to compelling stakeholder narratives without sacrificing analytical rigor.
Instacart operates under a Flex First remote work model, allowing employees to choose their daily workspace while engaging in regular in-person events. Employment for this position is restricted to candidates based in Ontario, Alberta, British Columbia, and Nova Scotia.

Requirements

- 2+ years of experience operating in a B2B, commercial, or go-to-market context
- Demonstrated history of owning end-to-end reporting programs from data sourcing and modeling to delivery and communication
- Advanced proficiency in SQL alongside at least one business intelligence or data visualization platform such as Tableau, Looker, or Mode
- Experience building and maintaining recurring, full business-line reports and analytical frameworks at scale
- Effective communication skills capable of framing analytical findings to influence cross-functional partners and leadership
- Familiarity with sales performance metrics, customer retention frameworks, and pipeline tracking
- Ability to thrive in a fast-paced and ambiguous environment where business context is vital
Qualifications
- Previous professional exposure within a technology sector, marketplace, or B2B sales environment
- Familiarity with CRM data including Salesforce and its integration into downstream analytics
- Background in establishing or contributing to external partner-facing reporting initiatives
- Track record of translating ambiguous problem statements into clear and scalable analytical outputs
