As an IT Platforms Engineer, you will serve as a hands-on technical professional responsible for managing and improving the internal platforms and device fleets utilized daily by company staff. This role suits a practitioner who enjoys working within a Configuration as a Code framework, automating routine processes, and collaborating closely with information security teams to enforce device trust and data protection policies. You will participate in platform migrations, address escalated technical service requests, and help scale internal infrastructure as the company expands.
Responsibilities
- Operate, configure, change, and troubleshoot core IT platforms within agreed standards and designs
- Manage the complete lifecycle of Mac and Windows device fleets, including provisioning, compliance, patching, and retirement
- Partner with InfoSec to roll out and maintain device trust, Data Loss Prevention, and web security policies
- Facilitate accurate and timely onboarding and offboarding access management while automating manual tasks
- Utilize scripts and built-in platform automation to eliminate repetitive operational work
- Handle level two and level three service desk escalations to resolve complex problems and document permanent fixes
- Own workstreams for larger platform rollouts, migrations, and upgrades
Requirements
- Minimum of four years of experience in information technology or workplace engineering
- Hands-on administration experience with Google Workspace
- Practical administration experience with Jamf and/or Microsoft Intune for Mac and Windows devices
- Familiarity with Secure Service Edge or web security tools such as Netskope
- Knowledge of Zero Trust concepts, including device trust and conditional access
- Experience administering Jira Service Management or similar IT Service Management tools
- Experience using Terraform for Configuration as a Code management
- Scripting proficiency in PowerShell, Bash, or Python
Qualifications
- Experience with Single Sign-On and provisioning protocols including SAML and SCIM
- Background working in fintech or regulated financial services
- Relevant platform certifications
