GoCardless is seeking a Junior Data Analyst to join its analytics team and contribute to expanding the company's data capabilities. Operating globally as a Mollie company, GoCardless provides a bank payment platform utilized by over 100,000 businesses to handle recurring and one-off payments through Direct Debit, open banking, and real-time solutions. In this role, you will collaborate across business services to build operational efficiencies, construct self-serve analytics assets using tools such as dbt, Looker, Fivetran, BigQuery, and Amplitude, and help colleagues make data-driven decisions. This position is part of the Data and Business Systems Group, which aims to maximize daily productivity and efficiency.
The ideal candidate is eager to launch a data career, takes initiative in solving problems, and enjoys sharing technical work with others. You will handle tasks ranging from data collection and cleaning to visualization, analysis, and documentation, while assisting the team with pipelines and dashboards.
Responsibilities
- Identify data sources, specify requirements, and retrieve data
- Inspect data, handle missing values and outliers, transform formats, and validate results
- Design visualisations to present data insights to diverse audiences
- Interpret analysis results to find trends, fluctuations, and insights
- Document information and processed content
- Assist team members with analytics projects including dashboard creation, pipeline support, and data cleansing
Requirements
