Tether.io is seeking a Junior Project Manager to join the Keet P2P team on a full-time, 100% remote basis. Tether creates digital finance solutions, including the USDT stablecoin, sustainable Bitcoin mining energy solutions, and the Keet peer-to-peer video call and chat application built by Holepunch. The Keet engine team focuses on core connectivity, data replication, room synchronization, and maintaining fast, reliable calls and file transfers across networks.
This role is tailored for an individual early in their career who wants to develop into technical project or product management within an open-source, distributed environment. Working alongside senior engineers in a globally distributed team, the Junior Project Manager will help coordinate sprints, track milestones, manage dependencies between the engine and UI teams, and maintain clear internal processes.

Responsibilities
- Track engine work across sprints and releases by keeping issues, milestones, and roadmaps up to date
- Run or support stand-ups, planning sessions, and retrospectives across different time zones, primarily asynchronously
- Coordinate between the engine team, Keet app and UI developers, and QA to ensure early visibility of dependencies
- Write concise status updates, meeting summaries, and release notes
- Triage bug reports and user feedback, routing them to the appropriate engineers
- Identify risks and blockers early to help the team resolve them
- Maintain tidy and accessible internal documentation and processes
Requirements
- 1 to 2 years of experience in project coordination, project management, or a similar role, including internships and open-source involvement
- Excellent written English communication skills for explaining technical progress clearly
- High level of organization with strong attention to detail and follow-through
- Comfort working alongside engineers and rapidly learning technical concepts
- Experience using issue trackers and project tools such as Jira, Linear, or GitHub Issues and Projects
- Ability to operate as a self-starter in a fully remote, async-first team environment
Qualifications
- Basic understanding of networking or distributed systems concepts like P2P, DHTs, NAT traversal, and replication
- Familiarity with software development lifecycles, Git, and release processes
- Some exposure to JavaScript or Node.js, or experience collaborating with a development team
- An interest in open-source software, decentralization, or privacy
- Knowledge of Agile or Scrum methodologies, or holding a relevant certification such as PSM or CAPM
- Experience working across multiple time zones
