Angkas is hiring a Junior QA Engineer on a full-time, on-site basis in the Philippines. The engineer runs manual functional, UI, exploratory and regression tests across iOS and Android apps and back-office tools. The role verifies user flows and data sync across the ecosystem, writes reusable test cases, logs detailed defects in Jira, checks APIs with Postman, and takes part in daily standups and sprint planning.
Responsibilities
- Run manual functional, UI, exploratory and regression tests on iOS, Android and back-office applications.
- Write and maintain clear, reusable test cases, scenarios and acceptance checklists.
- Log reproducible defect reports in Jira or similar tools, with steps, screenshots and logs.
- Check API requests and responses with tools such as Postman, and test across devices and browsers.
Requirements
- Bachelor's degree in computer science, IT or a related field.
- Understanding of the software testing life cycle, the development life cycle and core QA methods.
- Ability to apply test design techniques such as boundary value analysis and equivalence partitioning.
- Strong attention to detail, with clear written and verbal communication.
Qualifications
- Eagerness to learn new technologies, testing frameworks and QA practices.
- Strong observation skills for spotting edge cases and usability flaws.
- Comfortable taking part in Agile ceremonies to raise quality early.
