Job Description
CoLab, headquartered in St. John's, Newfoundland, makes AI software for mechanical engineering teams that design vehicles, medical devices and jet engines. The company reports a team of more than 250 people. This remote Key Account Executive will focus on Aerospace & Defense and handle some of CoLab's biggest enterprise accounts across North America.
The position centers on lengthy sales processes that involve many stakeholders. Deals are sized between $200K and more than $2M, and the seller engages senior engineering, program and procurement executives at major aerospace and defense firms. Growing relationships across business units and programs is also part of the job, along with building executive contacts that last beyond a single contract.
Success requires a consultative approach in regulated, technical industries. The seller uncovers how engineering work is done, which regulations apply and what program deadlines press on the customer, then presents CoLab as an adviser that can cut rework, shorten product timelines and raise design quality. Lessons from these accounts feed back into go-to-market and product planning.
Pipeline tracking and forecasts live in Salesforce. The job also includes account and territory planning for major A&D customers, plus renewal and upsell work that increases lifetime value. Team meetings in Newfoundland, Canada are expected, usually twice a year in December and June, and occasional customer site visits come up as well.
