Job Description

CoLab is recruiting a Key Account Executive for enterprise sales, focused on the company's largest accounts in Europe. CoLab builds AI tools for mechanical engineering teams that design vehicles, jet engines and medical devices, helping them cut iteration cycles and reach market sooner. The company is headquartered in St. John's, Newfoundland and has more than 250 staff.

The core of the job is closing large deals, typically between $200K and $2M+, with organizations that have 10,000 or more employees. The seller leads discovery with several groups at once, including engineering heads, buyers in procurement and senior executives, and offers guidance on how they can refine design processes and get products to market sooner. Proposals, contract terms and deal progression are handled alongside the sales team.

This person also builds lasting relationships with key stakeholders, manages a pipeline of high-value opportunities and creates plans covering territories and key accounts at large companies. Expansion and renewal work is coordinated with Customer Success, and customer feedback is passed to Product and Marketing. Accurate forecasts and regular progress updates are expected.

The role suits a consultative seller with experience in technical sectors such as industrial equipment, automotive or aerospace. It is a permanent, full-time job with stock options, and remote work is possible across Germany, Switzerland, Sweden or the United Kingdom. Occasional travel is required for meetings in Newfoundland, Canada, and most of those gatherings are expected to be attended.

  • Manage a pipeline to hit quarterly and annual targets and report on forecast accuracy
  • Work on expansions and renewals to grow customer lifetime value
  • Develop plans covering territories and key accounts at large enterprises

  • Able to keep a larger set of enterprise opportunities moving toward close
  • Comfortable with ambiguity and able to line up internal resources to close deals
  • Good communicator and negotiator who can win over senior decision-makers
