Job Description
This full-time Lead position is advertised as a Channel Manager for the Middle East and Africa at Freshworks, with Bengaluru given as the job location. The objective is to build and expand the company's partner network across the region so that partners generate additional revenue and qualified pipeline.
The person would find and sign up partners that bring customer reach, technical depth, sector expertise or geographic coverage, help them learn to sell and deliver Freshworks offerings, and design joint go-to-market plans with revenue targets, priority accounts and capability goals. Success is judged on productive partners and measurable results, not on how many partners were recruited.
Daily collaboration runs through Account Executives, solution consultants, customer success, marketing, alliances and enablement staff. The posting asks for commercial drive, partner management, sales coordination and disciplined operations, along with a working understanding of indirect selling economics.
Responsibilities
- Shape the partner plan for assigned MEA markets and customer segments.
- Find and recruit partners and assess how well they can create pipeline, influence buyers and deliver projects.
- Lead onboarding of new partners through readiness plans, certifications and measurable milestones.
- Take responsibility for pipeline that partners source or shape, using joint campaigns, account mapping and workshops.
- Coordinate joint account planning with sales teams and bring partners into suitable deals.
- Run recurring partner reviews covering pipeline, business plans and follow-up actions.
- Keep partner attribution and opportunity records accurate.
Requirements
- At least seven years across channel and alliance work, partner management, indirect selling or B2B tech sales.
- Experience with system integrators, managed service providers, resellers, distributors, cloud firms or niche technology specialists.
- Experience running large technology sales cycles and deals that involve partners.
- Disciplined pipeline management and forecasting.
- Strong communication, presentation and negotiation skills.
Qualifications
- Work across several countries or markets, which is strongly preferred.
- Familiarity with software-as-a-service, ITSM, ITOM, ITAM and cybersecurity, plus cloud or similar enterprise technology is a plus.
- Comfort using data to track partner performance.
