This position requires a balance between architectural planning and direct coding. Responsibilities
- Lead the technical design and execution of key products, features, and engineering initiatives
- Design scalable, reliable, and maintainable systems across backend, frontend, APIs, databases, and infrastructure
- Perform hands-on engineering tasks including coding, prototyping, code reviews, debugging, and production problem-solving
- Make architectural decisions and technical trade-offs balancing speed, scale, reliability, and maintainability
- Break ambiguous product and technical challenges into actionable engineering plans
- Set high standards for code quality, testing, security, observability, and production reliability
- Provide clear feedback on technical designs and code submitted by other engineers
- Mentor team members to strengthen overall technical capabilities
- Identify technical risks, bottlenecks, and architectural weaknesses early
- Collaborate with engineering, product, design, and AI groups to ship products rapidly
- Enhance engineering tooling, development practices, and automation
- Monitor production systems, investigate incidents, resolve root causes, and improve reliability post-release
Requirements
- Strong background in software engineering with significant experience building and shipping production systems
- Deep technical expertise in areas such as backend, frontend, distributed systems, APIs, databases, or cloud infrastructure
- Strong system design and architecture skills for complex or high-scale systems
- Strong coding ability with a willingness to remain hands-on
- Proven experience leading major engineering projects or providing technical leadership
- Proficiency in English communication to work within a global distributed team
