The Romeoville, Illinois facility seeks a full-time Lead Pharmacy Technician to oversee daily operational workflows within the fulfillment team.
This position suits a professional with pharmacy technician experience and leadership capabilities who can manage staff, operate automation machinery, and maintain compliance standards. The selected individual will guide daily fulfillment activities, assist with packing and shipping duties, collaborate with cross-functional departments, and help drive continuous workflow enhancements in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
- Supervise and mentor pharmacy technicians through coaching, onboarding, and ongoing performance support
- Manage shift staffing schedules to maintain consistent workflow continuity
- Direct picking, packing, and shipping procedures to meet established operational timelines
- Serve as the initial contact for floor-level operational challenges
- Partner with pharmacists and cross-functional teams to resolve shipping and order matters
- Operate and troubleshoot pharmacy automation equipment
- Monitor adherence to quality, safety, and regulatory compliance standards
- Assist with order processing and technician duties directly to handle volume spikes
Requirements
- Active and unrestricted Illinois Pharmacy Technician Certification
- High school diploma or equivalent
- Minimum of two years of pharmacy technician experience
Qualifications
- Prior leadership or supervisory experience in a fulfillment setting
- Comfort working with pharmacy technology-driven workflows and automation
