The organization seeks a Manager for Developer Productivity in AI Tools to oversee the team building agentic coding platforms, automated code review systems, and associated infrastructure. This position requires leading senior engineers through complex and rapidly evolving technical areas, establishing security and risk protocols for autonomous coding agents, and managing infrastructure vendor contracts. Active engagement with AI tools is expected, and the individual will report directly to the Chief Technology Officer.
This hybrid role requires working from designated offices roughly two to three days per week for individuals based in Denver, San Francisco, or New York, with remote flexibility available under specific guidelines. Total rewards include cash compensation, equity in the form of restricted stock units, and standard company benefits.
Responsibilities
- Manage and guide a team of senior engineers working within ambiguous technical environments
- Direct the roadmap for agentic coding tools including interactive and autonomous modes across web, CLI, and Slack interfaces
- Oversee the accuracy, coverage, and cost tradeoffs of automated AI code reviews
- Establish the security posture, permission models, and isolation guardrails for autonomous coding agents
- Manage AI infrastructure spending and negotiate vendor contracts
- Partner strategically with executive leadership and the Chief Technology Officer on software development tooling
Requirements
- Have at least eight years of engineering people leadership experience managing senior engineers through ambiguous challenges
- Possess direct, hands-on experience as a daily power user of tools like Cursor, Claude Code, or Codex
- Demonstrate experience owning significant infrastructure or vendor contracts from technical requirements through legal and procurement close
- Show the capability to independently assess and handle AI system risks such as credential exposure and prompt injection
- Communicate directly and effectively with senior stakeholders to secure strategic decisions
