Figma is hiring a Manager, R&D Finance to join its Strategic Finance team. Figma builds a collaborative design platform that assists teams with brainstorming, prototyping, and translating concepts into code. The Strategic Finance group addresses major business challenges, manages company budgets, handles planning cycles, and allocates organizational resources efficiently.
This position requires an analytical professional who can tackle ambiguous problems and communicate effectively with senior leaders. The person in this role will guide annual recurring revenue planning for the self-serve business, collaborate across departments with product and data science units, and mentor a high-performing finance team.
Figma offers a comprehensive compensation package that includes an annual base salary range between $185,000 and $317,000 USD, equity, health and wellness coverage, retirement contributions, parental support, flexible paid time off, and additional lifestyle reimbursements. This full-time position is based in Austin.
Responsibilities
- Manage all annual recurring revenue planning and forecasting operations for the self-serve business line.
- Collaborate cross-functionally with product and data science teams to pinpoint growth drivers and influence strategic choices.
- Create and deploy process improvements to boost forecast accuracy and visibility into monetization and customer conversion trends.
- Lead, mentor, and provide career development support to a high-performing finance team.
- Deliver financial presentations and actionable insights to senior leadership including the CEO, CFO, and CMO.
- Establish and evolve the financial narrative regarding the self-serve motion for executive and board-level materials.
Requirements
- Possess eight or more years of professional background in investment banking, strategic finance, private equity, business operations, or a related analytical field.
- Bring at least two years of experience leading and developing high-performing teams.
- Demonstrate proficiency in SQL and experience collaborating with data science units on analytical challenges.
- Showcase deep expertise in financial forecasting, planning, and data-driven insight generation.
- Exhibit structured and strategic thinking capabilities to break down ambiguous situations into clear solutions.
