Job Description
This full-time hybrid role is based in Austin, Texas, where the manager is expected to be in the office three days a week. The Manager, Sales Development leads and coaches a team of eight sales development representatives. The job is to help the team find high-value pipeline inside top enterprise accounts, coordinating with sales leaders, marketing and partner organizations. The role suits an analytical, organized leader who enjoys building teams and holding people to quota.
Team leadership is direct. The manager runs one-to-one meetings and call reviews to sharpen how representatives explain complex technical products, including search, observability, security and AI. Performance is managed against clear expectations for pipeline conversion, meetings and quota attainment, and improvement plans are used when needed.
The manager also builds the team. That includes recruiting, hiring, onboarding and developing talent, and creating onboarding programs that shorten ramp time and prepare representatives for account executive or go-to-market roles. Operational rigor is required, with KPIs, pipeline health, conversion and account coverage data monitored to guide resource allocation and forecasts.
Account planning and process work form another strand. The manager co-designs outbound account-based strategies with leadership, refines playbooks and multi-channel cadences, and makes sure the team uses its sales technology well, from prospecting data tools to the CRM. Partners such as systems integrators and cloud providers are brought into prospecting to open new account entry points. The posting describes the employer as a search AI company used by more than half of the Fortune 500.
