Job Description
A new Manager, Services Sourcing position at Freshworks will lead a set of sourcing category managers inside a procurement function that is being reshaped. The job blends people leadership with hands-on dealmaking: the manager oversees the team while also carrying sourcing projects and negotiating purchases personally. Someone organized, with a solid procurement track record and a real interest in developing people, would fit well.
Leadership duties cover coaching team members, setting individual targets and service levels, reviewing performance, and spotting development needs. The manager also takes part in hiring and onboarding, explains internal buying procedures to staff and business partners, and maintains active relationships with senior stakeholders so that sourcing stays in step with company priorities.
On the commercial side, the manager runs category-based sourcing initiatives, helps draft and review agreements, and bargains with vendors over prices, service commitments and other commercial and legal conditions. Supplier risk reviews, competitive tenders to select the strongest-value vendors, and ongoing measurement of supplier results against agreed service levels and quality benchmarks are also part of the role.
