Job Description
This is a full-time, on-site operations management role at Swiggy. The manager heads a group of area managers and is accountable for raising operational efficiency and meeting performance targets across assigned areas, while supporting new strategic programmes that help operations scale. The posting does not state a city or hub location.
Responsibilities span the flow of deliveries and the customer journey in those areas. The job bridges the rollout team and the operations strategy group, and makes certain that systems, procedures and rules feed into dependable management reporting and information sharing. Cost review, rota planning, quality projects and process changes are also part of the role.
A large share of the job is people management. The manager oversees delivery staff discipline, settles disputes and walkouts, shapes retention and incentive approaches, and decides staffing and training needs. Weekly one-to-ones with area managers, individual coaching sessions and regular hub inspections are expected, with attention to customer satisfaction and to fewer cancellations caused by delivery executives.
Candidates should hold a postgraduate qualification and have four to six years of experience, ideally designing processes and implementing operations within logistics or supply chain. The role calls for an analytical mind comfortable with numbers, the ability to run several hubs at once, calm composure under pressure, and clear communication. Experience managing blue-collar employees is a clear advantage.
