The company is hiring a Platform Security Engineer to fortify its cloud platform, infrastructure, containerized workloads, and Kubernetes environments.
In this position, the engineer will collaborate with SRE, platform, infrastructure, technical leadership, and product engineering teams to lower risk across systems. This role suits professionals with extensive hands-on expertise in AWS, container security, Linux, and Kubernetes who want to secure developer infrastructure without creating operational bottlenecks.

Responsibilities
- Identify and mitigate security risks across AWS, Kubernetes, containerized workloads, and overall platform infrastructure
- Perform threat modeling, technical risk assessments, and architecture reviews for infrastructure and platform systems
- Collaborate with SRE, platform, and infrastructure teams to build practical security controls and secure-by-default patterns
- Enhance container and Kubernetes security regarding workload isolation, RBAC, admission control, secrets, network policies, and runtime hardening
- Evaluate Linux and container runtime isolation risks, covering capabilities, namespaces, cgroups, seccomp, AppArmor, and escape scenarios
- Fortify AWS security across IAM, network controls, account boundaries, logging, detection, service configuration, and encryption
- Develop scalable mechanisms including automation, guardrails, paved paths, detections, and review frameworks
- Prioritize security initiatives effectively by differentiating between theoretical vulnerabilities and material platform risks
Requirements
- Senior-level background in platform security, infrastructure security, cloud security, container security, or general security engineering
- Extensive practical proficiency in AWS, containers, Kubernetes, and Linux security fundamentals
- Professional background within large cloud environments, multi-cluster Kubernetes deployments, SaaS platforms, developer platforms, or high-scale infrastructure teams
- Strong reasoning abilities regarding identity, networking, workload isolation, secrets, supply chain, runtime security, and blast radius
- Clear communication skills for technical and non-technical audiences in a written, asynchronous environment
- Ability to manage security initiatives across complex projects involving diverse stakeholders
