Intelerad, a medical imaging software provider with nearly 800 employees across four countries and headquarters in Raleigh and Montreal, seeks a remote Platform Tester (Back-end Systems) to safeguard the core platform behind its healthcare solutions. The company serves nearly 2,000 healthcare organizations globally and holds recognition such as a Best in KLAS ranking. In this full-time role, the professional will ensure that services, APIs, integrations, and infrastructure are stable and clinical-ready for every release.
This position suits a quality assurance professional with a strong testing background who wants to take ownership of test strategies for platform components. The person in this role will build automated test suites for back-end systems, integrate testing into CI/CD pipelines, investigate complex issues using system diagnostics, and mentor other software testers on best practices.
Responsibilities
- Own test planning and execution for assigned platform components and services
- Define test coverage across functional, integration, regression, and non-functional testing
- Design, build, and maintain automated test suites for APIs, services, and back-end systems
- Integrate automated tests into CI/CD pipelines to shorten feedback cycles
- Validate platform behavior across interfaces, deployment environments, and interoperability standards like DICOM and HL7
- Investigate complex cross-component issues using logs, data, and system diagnostics to find root causes
- Contribute to platform testing standards, quality metrics, and mentor software testers
Requirements
- 5 or more years of experience in software testing or quality assurance, including integrated or multi-service platform systems
- Demonstrated experience building and maintaining test automation frameworks for API and integration testing
- Working knowledge of SQL, test management tooling such as qTest or Zephyr, and CI/CD pipelines
- Experience testing inside containerized or cloud-based environments like AWS, Docker, or Kubernetes
- Ability to lead test strategy for complex releases with minimal supervision
Qualifications
- Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Engineering, or a related field, or equivalent experience
- Experience with performance and load testing tools for distributed systems
- Healthcare IT or medical imaging domain knowledge such as PACS, RIS, or DICOM
- ISTQB certification or equivalent
