Job Description
This full-time principal competitive intelligence role sits in Elastic's product marketing group and focuses on the Search product line. The United States listing is marked on-site. Ongoing monitoring is part of the job. The holder tracks rival moves and responds quickly to shifts in the market. The role also helps build proof points and external articles and web pages that describe competitive advantages, and takes part in the win/loss program by joining interviews and analyzing results to advise sales and product decisions.
Collaboration reaches product marketers, product managers and sellers, and it is central to shaping positioning for new products and features. The person keeps a working knowledge of the search market, including its trends and dynamics, and may attend industry events to report on competitive shifts.
