Job Description
Spotify wants a senior product leader to run Search Personalization inside the Conversation Product Area. Search helps people locate content across music, podcasts, audiobooks, video and playlists, and this post decides how results get ranked and presented to hundreds of millions of users.
The person in this role is accountable for the overall plan behind search results, covering ranking, relevance and retrieval. They lead two search squads, one focused on results ranking and one on query suggestions. The agenda includes bringing AI-native features into search, such as AI Overviews, semantic retrieval and reranking with large language models, while keeping quality and spend under control. The post also builds a quality framework that ties together relevance, trust, regulatory compliance and the wider user experience, and sets priorities among the many company initiatives that rely on search.
This is a leadership role for someone who understands search systems in depth, including ranking designs, evaluation methods and the balancing of relevance against latency, cost and freshness. Experience with machine learning features in search or recommendations is expected, along with comfort presenting to executives and the ability to mentor junior product managers and move others without formal authority. The job works with engineering leadership on architecture choices and with partners wherever search overlaps other areas.
The job location is London or Stockholm, with some in-person meetings and flexibility to work from home. No salary or benefits are listed in the posting.

- Portfolio-level thinking, able to pull many initiatives into one vision and explain it to executives.
- Mentoring early-career PMs and driving outcomes without direct reporting lines.
Qualifications
- Some familiarity with audio products or media tech.
