Job Description
This full-time, remote-first Principal Product Manager job at Elastic Security is listed for the United States. Up to 50 percent of the time may go to in-person executive and design-partner sessions with key accounts.
The product manager oversees the flow of customer-sourced requirements from many enterprise accounts. That means keeping a working list, separating genuine needs from stated wishes, and making sure each item leads to a clear next step.
Recurring themes across accounts are treated as product signals. Some become formal design partnerships, and the results are designed to benefit the broader market. Once validated, these patterns are moved into the core product roadmaps, extending the role's reach well beyond its own accounts.
The role acts as the lead product representative in discussions with senior customer leaders, among them the CISO, CTO and the VP responsible for Security Operations. Roadmap updates, including misses and deprioritizations, are communicated in ways that protect the relationship.
Cross-functional work spans Legal, Engineering, Customer Success, Sales and Product. The product manager supports deal cycles through RFPs, security questionnaires and roadmap briefings, and produces artifacts that show status to customers and internal teams.
Applicants need 7 to 10 years in product management, including at least four years in B2B enterprise software and hands-on work with named strategic accounts. Experience with hyperscalers, MSSPs or the public sector is a plus. The typical starting base range is EUR 67,000 to 106,000, with no variable component.
