Job Description
Elastic Security is bringing on a Principal Product Manager responsible for XDR and for the exposure and vulnerability features merging into it. The job is full-time, remote, and located in the United States.
XDR anchors the role. Its reach covers endpoints, cloud, identities and networks, from assembling correlated alerts and incidents to running response actions and closed-loop automation. Exposure and vulnerability management represents the main growth area, and the product manager also keeps noise under control so that new features earn adoption.
Much of the effort goes into requirements that engineering teams can build from on the first pass. The product manager works with engineering leads and Elastic Security Labs researchers, grounding detection and exposure scoring in current threat research. The role also works with the Entity Analytics team, supplying asset criticality and entity context used for exposure ranking.
The strongest candidates know how raw scanning differs from asset inventory and from true exposure prioritization, and they understand why reachability and exploitability carry more weight than CVSS severity. A solid grasp of the analytics behind detection and prioritization is needed, though hands-on modeling is not. Understanding how AI, ML and agent systems get attacked and defended is an advantage.
The listing sets a typical starting base range of EUR 67,000 to 106,000 with no variable pay. Candidates should bring at least four years in security or enterprise B2B software within a total of 7 to 10 years in product management.
