Job Description
Elastic is hiring a Principal Product Manager to run XDR together with the exposure and vulnerability work merging into it. The job is full-time, remote, and based in the United States.
The product manager serves as the product voice for senior customer stakeholders, including CISOs and VPs of Security Operations. The role involves explaining priorities clearly and presenting roadmap changes, including features that will not be built, in a way that protects the relationship.
XDR remains the core, spanning detection and response on endpoints, cloud workloads, identities and networks. Moving into exposure and vulnerability work adds patching, device control, firewall management on hosts and remediation workflows, plus noise reduction to encourage adoption. Attack surface and cloud posture feed prioritization as inputs.
The product manager also partners with the Entity Analytics group on asset criticality and entity context, writes requirements engineering can act on, and maintains the internal view of the competitive field, including large security vendors and MDR providers. The work sits between Product, Engineering and Elastic Security Labs researchers.
Applicants need 7 to 10 years in product management, including at least four years in security or enterprise B2B software, along with a record of shipping products that carry meaningful revenue. The posted base salary is USD 159,800 to 252,800, or USD 191,900 to 303,500 in select metro areas, with no variable pay. Stock program eligibility applies.
