Job Description
Elastic is searching for a Principal Product Manager who will lead XDR plus the exposure and vulnerability efforts that are merging into it. The post is full-time and remote, based in the United States.
The person becomes the main product voice for senior customers, including CISOs and VPs of Security Operations. That means making the case for why one exposure deserves attention ahead of countless others, communicating roadmap decisions that include deprioritized items, and preserving trust when the conversation turns hard.
Competitive strategy is another core duty. The product manager becomes the internal reference for the market, including large security vendors and MDR providers, and converts that knowledge into positioning the company can differentiate on. Preparing decision memos, competitive briefs and roadmap trackers keeps customers and colleagues informed without extra meetings.
Ownership of XDR covers endpoint, cloud, identity and network, with automation that speeds response while analysts stay in control. Exposure work reaches patching, device control, host firewall administration and remediation workflows. The product manager collaborates with Engineering and Elastic Security Labs so that detection logic and exposure scoring rest on current threat research.
Candidates should have 7 to 10 years of product management, including four years in security or enterprise B2B software, and enough hands-on grounding in XDR, EDR, SIEM or security work to discuss correlation and detection engineering with confidence. The typical starting base pay is EUR 104,800 to 165,700 with no variable component.
