Job Description
Elastic is seeking a Principal Solutions Architect, Security to serve as a technical authority and trusted advisor for customers, partners, and the regional community. Elastic is the Search AI Company, providing cloud-based solutions for search, security, and observability that help organizations utilize structured and unstructured data at scale. In this role, you will act as the technical point of contact within your assigned enterprise territory, guiding accounts through all phases from initial discovery to the technical win. You will partner with sales teams to demonstrate product value, educate and onboard partners, and communicate customer feedback directly to engineering and leadership. The ideal candidate brings extensive enterprise-level experience with SIEM platforms, deep security knowledge, and a strong background in technical presales. This position involves approximately 30 percent regional travel, alongside occasional international travel.
Responsibilities
- Act as the technical point of contact for assigned accounts and account managers in an enterprise territory
- Discover customer goals and articulate how Elastic offerings fulfill their business needs
- Build value-based relationships across all organizational levels of customer accounts
- Participate in territory planning and execution from discovery through the technical win
- Demonstrate product value during sales meetings, meetups, and conferences
- Advise sales representatives on positioning Elastic products, solutions, and services
- Onboard, enable, and support partners throughout sales cycles
- Create collateral, contribute to programs, and collaborate with colleagues to satisfy client needs
- Channel customer and community feedback regarding gaps and needs to engineering and leadership teams
- Pursue self-driven education to deepen technical and sales skills
Requirements
- Demonstrated success in a technical presales role selling and implementing technology
- Extensive background with SIEM platforms and enterprise vendor solutions
- Deep understanding of artificial intelligence and its effects on analytics and SIEM solutions
- Strong grasp of security operations center workflows, operational challenges, and processes
- Familiarity with various security solutions, their generated data, and use case content building
- History of customer relations used to devise architectural solutions meeting client goals
- Ability to influence teams and inspire groups of varying sizes
- Willingness to travel up to 30 percent regionally and occasionally internationally
