Job Description
This full-time on-site senior accountant role at SGS in the Philippines handles accounts payable invoice processing, expense audits and month-end support. The role codes invoices to the chart of accounts, verifies compliance with policy, and manages prepayments and supplier inquiries. The senior accountant also signs off on monthly checklists and supports AP subledger close.
Responsibilities
- Process incoming PO, non-PO and credit card invoices and book them in the accounting system.
- Verify invoices against SGS policies and check travel and expense liquidation.
- Process prepayments, follow up on prepaid invoices and answer vendor statement questions.
- Complete monthly checklists for sign-off and support AP subledger close activities.
Requirements
- Two or more years of experience in procure-to-pay invoice processing is listed.
- Experience with month-end close, reconciliation, and cash and bank work is a nice-to-have.
Qualifications
- A bachelor's degree, preferably in accounting, business or finance.
- General knowledge of accounting principles and Oracle E-Business Suite is nice to have.
- Organized, detail-oriented and comfortable working independently.
