This full-time on-site accounting role at SGS in the Philippines works across the procure-to-pay stream, which covers accounts payable, expenses and procurement. The senior accountant resolves invoice and purchase order discrepancies, reviews accruals and supports the month-end close. The role works with the R2R team on bank reconciliation and with the P2P supervisor on monthly checklists.
Responsibilities
- Identify invoice and purchase order discrepancies and help resolve problems that block processing.
- Respond to internal and external inquiries on invoices, payments, and travel and expense audits.
- Follow up on match exceptions, invoices on hold and aging items on the AP trial balance.
- Prepare and review accruals and assist with the AP subledger close.
Requirements
- A bachelor's degree in accounting, business or finance.
- At least three years of accounting or finance experience, with SSC experience an advantage.
- General knowledge of accounting principles.
Qualifications
- Knowledge of Oracle E-Business Suite is nice to have.
- Intermediate Excel skills.
- Customer service orientation and strong problem-solving skills.
