Job Description

Ebury is offering a Procurement Intern (Beca) placement at its Leon office, on a hybrid pattern of four days in the office and one day working from home each week. The internship sits within Ebury Finance and supports the global procurement function of a fast-growing fintech. The intern answers to the head of global procurement and covers day-to-day work for the Senior Procurement Analyst.

The main focus is transactional procurement work and the support that follows purchasing. This includes helping run the purchase order process, creating and managing POs and goods receipts, and monitoring how other departments adopt the process. The role also covers process and PO improvement projects, training material and training delivery, resolving invoice disputes and helping the purchase-to-pay team. On the analytics side, the intern compiles procurement data to find improvements and reports progress to stakeholders and finance. The posting sets a target of channelling 80% of external spend through PO invoices and cutting spending that bypasses purchase orders or goes on cards. Some sourcing support may be needed later.

Candidates should have strong analytical thinking, good problem-solving skills and hands-on use of analytical tools. Clear written and verbal communication in English is needed, and basic Portuguese is a bonus. The candidate should be studying toward, or have recently finished, a degree in business administration or supply chain studies, or in a similar field. The posting presents the placement as a chance to learn in a team that is still defining its processes and policies.
