Job Description

Moniepoint Inc. operates an all-in-one financial platform across Africa, offering banking, payments, credit, and cross-border solutions while serving as a leading merchant acquirer that processes billions in digital transactions annually. The company is currently hiring a full-time Product Auditor to provide independent assurance on product controls related to wallets, settlements, payments, and switches.

In this on-site position, the Product Auditor evaluates risk exposures and control maturity before products reach production. The successful candidate will examine product design, ensure regulatory compliance, test transaction logic, and oversee go-live control gates. This role is ideal for professionals with a background in payment operations, systems audit, or financial data analytics who want to safeguard financial services against revenue leakage and technology-driven risks.

Team members benefit from an environment focused on personal growth, training, and knowledge sharing. The employer strives to prioritize staff well-being and diversity as an equal-opportunity organization.

Responsibilities

  • Manage a risk-ranked Product Audit Universe and establish the annual Product Audit Plan
  • Review product requirements documents, business rules, and workflows to identify logic gaps before launch
  • Conduct continuous audit reviews of live payment products to detect configuration drift and emerging risks
  • Perform mandatory pre-production audits as an independent control gate for material software releases
  • Interrogate the fee engine using SQL to verify commission, VAT, discount, and split calculations
  • Trace fund flows to ensure continuous synchronization between wallet sub-ledgers and the general ledger
  • Monitor product modifications to verify compliance with approved change management cycles
  • Assess vendor-managed product components, service level agreements, and third-party dependencies
  • Lead post-incident reviews for product failures and author structured root cause analysis reports
  • Prepare risk-rated reports for executive management and the audit committee

Requirements

  • Possess three to five years or more of professional experience in product audit, systems audit, financial data analytics, or payment operations within financial services or fintech
  • Demonstrate hands-on familiarity with payment product architecture, wallet systems, and regulated payment flows
  • Demonstrate advanced SQL skills for data extraction and transaction interrogation
  • Understand payment systems architecture including card processing, direct debit, wallets, and settlement
  • Show proficiency in end-to-end transaction lifecycles covering authorization, clearing, posting, and exception handling
  • Apply risk-based audit methodologies aligned with the IIA Standards and COSO framework

Qualifications

  • Hold a bachelor's degree in computer science, engineering, mathematics, finance, or a related quantitative discipline
  • Hold professional certifications such as CISA, CIA, or CFE
  • Hold an ACA or ACCA qualification combined with strong technical product experience and data analytics skills
