The company serves millions of developers and is trusted by organizations such as OpenAI, PayPal, and Ramp. Currently, Vercel is seeking a Product Designer, Marketplace to take charge of product design for Vercel Marketplace and Vercel Connect.

In this position, you will design the complete ecosystem for both builders who choose and manage external services, and partners who build integrations. You will work across various interfaces including the Vercel dashboard, CLI, API-driven agent flows, v0, and partner tools to improve existing customer journeys and shape future integration capabilities. This role sits within the design team and involves close collaboration with a dedicated engineering team and a Product Manager. Open at both the Senior and Staff levels, the position can be fully remote or based out of offices in San Francisco, New York, London, or Berlin depending on your commuting distance.

Responsibilities

  • Manage builder and partner experiences across discovery, installation, billing, management, and removal
  • Define how developers and agents discover, provision, configure, and utilize databases, services, and integrations
  • Simplify complex technical concepts like OAuth, permissions, credentials, and billing without omitting critical details
  • Build and test functional prototypes independently using coding agents to evaluate product behavior
  • Partner directly with customers and partners utilizing research, data, and support insights to run experiments
  • Guide implementations alongside engineers and preserve quality throughout launches and iterations

Requirements

  • Portfolio demonstrating contributions, design decisions, shipped outcomes, and post-launch impact
  • Independent ownership of ambiguous, technically complex product initiatives from conception to launch
  • Strong ability to reason about systems while maintaining high interaction and visual standards
  • Experience utilizing qualitative and quantitative data to define success measures and adapt to new evidence
  • Capability to make complex products clear and trustworthy, accounting for edge cases, recovery, and accessibility
  • Proficiency in using coding agents independently to prototype interactions and inspect technical implementations

Qualifications

  • Experience designing marketplaces, integration platforms, partner ecosystems, or multi-sided products
  • Familiarity with OAuth, permissions, secrets, billing, developer tooling, or infrastructure solutions
  • Experience shipping artificial intelligence or agent experiences involving human approval and autonomous action
  • Background in engineering or experience contributing production web code
