The New Product Development team seeks a Product Development Associate to evaluate third-party datasets, tackle open-ended analytical problems, and identify novel product opportunities. This autonomous individual contributor role involves collaborating with engineering, partnerships, and business stakeholders to shepherd projects from initial concept to final recommendation. Candidates must be comfortable operating with minimal direction, structuring ambiguous questions, and leveraging AI tools and modern data platforms to drive productivity and insights.
This full-time position pays an annual base salary of $135,000 and can be performed fully remotely within the United States. The total compensation structure combines base pay, equity, and benefits. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this opportunity.
Responsibilities
- Assess third-party datasets to determine quality, business utility, and potential application areas
- Establish key questions, metrics, and analytical frameworks for ambiguous, open-ended assignments
- Perform quantitative analyses and convert findings into clear recommendations
- Aid in building and enhancing new products, datasets, and data-driven projects
- Partner with other analysts to organize, create, and execute complex initiatives
- Identify high-impact opportunities and advance work autonomously
- Investigate fresh use cases, methodologies, and applications for products and datasets
- Utilize AI tools, large language models, and automation to boost research and analysis output
- Contribute to internal knowledge bases, operational efficiency, and team tooling
- Coordinate effectively across product, engineering, business, and partnership teams
Requirements
- Possess two to four years of professional background in data science, data analytics, alternative data, or a closely related discipline
- Demonstrate strong SQL or PySpark capabilities with large-scale datasets
- Familiarity with modern data platforms such as Databricks
- Ability to frame ambiguous business inquiries into structured insights and analyses
- Comfort using AI tools and large language models while retaining independent critical thinking
- Ability to work during East or West Coast business hours
