Job Description
Xendit operates a financial technology platform that provides payment acceptance, payouts, treasury, and financial services infrastructure for companies ranging from startups to global enterprises across Southeast Asia and beyond. The firm is currently seeking a Product Manager for Developer Experience to lead the integration journey for technical users. In this position, you will oversee the path from initial API calls to large-scale production, ensuring that developers can integrate efficiently without encountering unnecessary obstacles. Because developers act as both the buyers and primary users for a financial infrastructure provider, your work centers on making the API, software development kits, documentation, and testing sandbox intuitive and reliable.
This opportunity is well-suited for a product professional with strong technical fluency who understands developer workflows and desires to shape a dedicated product ownership area. Your time will be divided between conducting developer research and delivering the product roadmap in close partnership with engineering teams. You will collaborate with the Product Design and UX Director for Customer Lifecycle, utilize integration analytics and support feedback to guide your decisions, and communicate platform trade-offs to senior leadership.
Responsibilities
- Manage the developer experience roadmap covering integration flows, software development kits, documentation, sandbox environments, error handling, and time-to-first-successful-call
- Track developer activation and retention as key metrics ranging from sign-up through production transactions
- Conduct discovery based on developer behavior including integration analytics, support data, community feedback, and direct research
- Partner with engineering teams on application programming interface design, developer experience standards, and balancing experience debt against new features
- Translate platform modifications into cohesive experiences for developers while communicating trade-offs to senior stakeholders
- Help define the operational ownership structure for developer experience as the first dedicated product owner in this functional area
Requirements
- Product management experience working with application programming interfaces, platforms, or developer-facing products where developers are the users
- Technical fluency allowing you to read documentation and discuss schemas, authentication, and webhooks with engineers
- Demonstrated empathy for developer workflows and an understanding of where technical users encounter friction
Qualifications
- Background as a developer
- Experience building software development kits, documentation, or developer experience products
- Previous experience in payments or financial technology
