The chosen candidate will handle purchasing tasks, oversee inventory receipt and storage, and manage the distribution of supplies so products remain accessible.
Key duties involve working with suppliers on costs, delivery timetables, payment conditions, and promotional deals. The clerk will track sales data, predict inventory needs, oversee purchasing funds, prevent excess inventory and shortages, check product quality, and resolve vendor or return issues. Additionally, the role requires maintaining enterprise resource planning systems or inventory databases and transferring stock to store shelves or departments upon approval.
Responsibilities
- Negotiate pricing, delivery schedules, payment terms, and promotional allowances with suppliers
