The Quality Manager leads, plans and executes the quality management system in SGS's Geochem laboratories and implements the quality control strategy across analytical divisions. The role supports ISO 17025 implementation and accreditation, evaluates improvement systems, and makes sure corrective actions and complaints close within agreed timeframes. It also covers proficiency test evaluation, training, management reviews and SANAS compliance. The posting asks for a post-graduate degree or diploma in quality control or assurance.
Responsibilities
- Lead and execute the quality management system in Geochem laboratories
- Implement the quality control strategy across analytical divisions
- Assist with ISO 17025 implementation and accreditation processes
- Ensure remedial actions, complaints and improvement request findings close on time
Requirements
- At least 5 years in analytical services
- At least 5 years in an administrative or reporting position
- Solid management or senior supervisory experience
- Fully acquainted with the CCLAS LIMS system
Qualifications
- Post-graduate degree or diploma, or a quality control or assurance qualification
- Working knowledge of ISO 17025
- Code 8 driver's licence
